Congratulations to the 2008/2009 Year 11 pupils who received their GCSE results at the end of the summer holiday. 68% of pupils gained the equivalent of 5A* - C grades. This was a huge improvement from the 53% figure in 2008 and is well ahead of the targets for the school agreed with the local authority. In addition, the proportion of pupils gaining 5A* - C grades including English and Maths increased by 12% to 46%. These results, on the back of our recent Ofsted inspection underline the fantastic progress that York High School has made and the tremendous hard work put in by everyone.
