Anti Bullying Campaign As part of our continued commitment to preventing bullying at York High School, we have undertaken a comprehensive review of the perceptions of bullying in the school. This has involved discussion groups with over 50 students, feedback from the parental survey and a confidential 'Every Child Matters' survey of over 450 students. In order to combat bullying in school we have introduced several new measures to encourage victims and bystanders to 'tell someone'. Using the 'Keep Kids Safe' texting system, a dedicated text line has been set up to confidentially report any issues of bullying. Text - 07624 804679. Pupils, Parents or Carers may alternatively communicate any problems by emailing tellsomeone@yorkhighschool.co.uk On Site Car Parking Due to recent building work, arrangements for collecting and dropping off pupils by car have been made somewhat more difficult. If you are bringing your child by car, there is a drop off zone on the school site, this does get very busy and therefore many parents drop their child off on Cornlands Road. If you are doing so please can we request that you do so in a convenient place, away from the main entrance point. Equally at the end of the day it would be helpful if you could wait for your child in the drop off zone, in the main car park, or on Cornlands Road (Again, in a convenient place away from the main entrance). Please do not park in the Disabled Parking bays. Breakfast Club The school will be open from 8.00am for those pupils who wish to take advantage of our breakfast club facility in the dining room when cereals and hot snacks will be available. Those pupils wishing to access the club should do so by entering the building through the main reception doors.
