Week 23 Update

There are some tired Year 11 students this week after a week of practice exams in Maths, Science and English.  I can only speak for my Maths group but they have done really well in the papers that we have marked so far.   Only 8 school weeks left till the real thing.

Here is some news to put a smile on tired year 11 faces.  We have booked the Year 11 Prom for Thursday 30th June 2022 at the Mercure Hotel in York. We will let you know when we  have further details.

Wishing the Year 9 London trip a safe journey home, At this moment I think they are on the London Eye before a quick visit to the Science museum and then home later tonight.

Parents We Need You

We are looking to start a second hand uniform shop run by parents for parents.  If you would like to help organise this then please e mail me at r.sims@yorkhigh.southbank.academy

York High Dance

A huge well done and good luck to Bethany S and Darcy C who are part of the Fantasy Dance team who have qualified to compete in Orlando America. They are competing in the World Junior Dance competition. The girls and their team qualified first to compete as the only British team and one of only 12 teams to qualify world wide. The competition takes place in April and we wish them and their team the best of luck! Well done girls!
