Students and staff at York High School are celebrating the best GCSE results in the school’s history.
York High Principal, Gavin Kumar, who joined York High School last September, said: “We are absolutely delighted with this year’s results. Our students have shown remarkable resilience, commitment and determination throughout their GCSE journey, which started way back during the Covid pandemic. They have supported each other, worked incredibly hard, and today their achievements speak for themselves. This is a year group that has faced significant challenges and yet they have gone on to achieve outstanding outcomes. They are a true credit to our school, their families and, most importantly, themselves.
“We are also extremely grateful to the parents and carers who have encouraged and motivated their children, and to our dedicated staff who have gone above and beyond to support and inspire our students.
“Today is about celebrating every individual success story, and we wish all of our students the very best as they move on to sixth form, college or apprenticeships.”
