Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a wonderful week at York High School, and I am incredibly proud of the energy and focus our students have brought to the building.
I would like to extend a massive “Good Luck” to our Year 11 students, who have officially begun their formal GCSE examinations. This is the culmination of years of hard work, and I am delighted to report that they have made a brilliant start. Their conduct in the exam hall has been exemplary, showing the maturity and resilience we have come to expect from our senior students. We are all behind you – keep that momentum going!
A huge thank you goes out to all our students for their fantastic contributions this week. Whether in the classroom or through peer support, your positive attitude makes York High a wonderful place to learn.
It has also been heartening to see such high attendance at our enrichment programme. Seeing students explore new interests and develop skills outside the standard curriculum is a highlight of our week. As a reminder, enrichment is a core part of the York High experience. Please encourage your child to check the latest enrichment timetable and sign up for a session if they haven’t already done so for the coming week.
Warmly,
Gavin Kumar
