Weekly Round-Up - 11/1/2019
Week 16
Was it only a week ago that we still had Christmas Lights up.
Year 9 have had options awareness week, where they have been given taster lessons in all options. In the past, we had a single options day where students could only pick a limited amount of subjects. We believe that this way should allow students to make a more informed choice. Next step for the options is the Year 9 parents evening on Tuesday.
Year 11 are straight back into it as there are only 15 school weeks left before the GCSE exams start. Next week we are starting 3 2 5 club, which is a grand title for what is effectively a revision club between 3pm and 5pm after school. All students are invited along. We hope the students will find it useful for their revision.
Year 11 Parents: Please keep alert for a letter that should arrive on soon, giving information about the current round of interventions.
Year 10 have had a presentation from Mr Burton today about target grades and they will be receiving their individual target grades at the start of next week.
Great to see Year 7 and 8 back after the Christmas break.
Things to look out for next week
Tuesday and Thursday – York College Taster Day
Tuesday – Year 9 Parents and options evening
Have a great weekend
