Weekly Update 22

I want to start this week by welcoming back safely from Kharkiv York High School ex pupil Danny Collinson.  Some of you may have followed Danny and his partner Yana’s story in the York Press or on facebook..  We are delighted that Danny is now safe.

Next week our YHS thinks topic will be on the Ukraine to educate our students on the reasons behind the conflict.

Good luck to Year 11 next week in their second round of practice (mock) exams.  Just remember to try your best the exams are not a final grade they are designed to find out what the students know and don't know to inform what we will teach over their last months in school.

We have another trip due out next week to London for Year 9.

Not a big sporting bulletin this week but Dodgeball continues to go from strength to strength

Mr Russell

We had a total of 34 students from Y7,Y8, Y9 and Y10 take part in Dodgeball club including some new faces. Yet again, amazing to see!

They are improving week on week but the most rewarding thing to see are the huge smiles on faces and the laughter.

Miss Eaton helped out again so thanks to her and both of us ran in to help Mia in the final game who was the last one standing in her team!  We did manage to get a few people out and make a comeback but to no avail - the other team deservedly won it 4-3 on games!

A huge well done to all and who knows we might break our record of attendees next week!

It will be week A next week, see you then.
