Rebecca Noble

Primary School Teacher

Name: Rebecca Noble

Profession: Primary School Teacher

Attended York High School: 2007-2011

Post-16 attended: York College

University or college? Leeds Trinity University

Favourite subject at school: Music & Child Development

What I thought I wanted to do: I always knew I wanted to work with children. My initial thought was to become a midwife, but after working in schools and nurseries, I realised my passion for teaching.

What I ended up doing: I am now a Year 1 teacher and enjoy making a difference every day – as well as having lots of fun!

How I got here: I was able to complete a Level 2 Diploma at YHS which then led me down the pathway of health and social care. I was then told that I would never make it to university, so I went back to college for two years, completed my course and went on to achieve my Honours degree in Primary Education.

Most useful skill or character trait for my job: Organisation and being a little bit bonkers!!

Top tip! Enjoy life, pick a career that you cannot wait to get up for in the morning and concentrate on all the challenges and opportunities, not barriers, to success!
