This course is split into three units.

RO57 is an external exam, lasting 1.15 hours and is sat in June of Year 11. This covers health and well-being for Child Development, with topics such as child safety and illnesses, reproduction, antenatal and postnatal care. 

RO58 is internally assessed through an NEA, covering topics on safety, equipment in nurseries and nutrition. There is a practical element to this NEA. This is carried out and submitted in year 10. 

RO59 is also internally assessed, through an NEA, covering topics around children’s development, observation and play.
